Presenter: Morgan Hall Mr. Morgan Hall has 35 years of manufacturing experience with General Motors, holding senior management positions in areas ranging from Production Engineering to Assembly and Quality Assurance. He holds undergraduate degrees in both mechanical and electrical engineering as well as a Masters Degree in Management Science from Johns Hopkins. Mr. Hall is an IAOB Lead Witness Auditor conducting audits of certification bodies as a part of the ISO/TS 16949 accreditation scheme. Through consulting activities Morgan assists and advises public and private organizations wishing to develop and implement ISO 9001 and or ISI/TS16949 compliant quality management systems. As a member of the US Technical advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee 176, Morgan participated in the formulation of US positions on revisions to the ISO 9000 series of standards and was also part of the delegation to Japan for finalization of the ISO voting draft. Mr. Hall holds several ASQ certifications including Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Quality Auditor, as well as an IRCA certification as an ISO 9001 Lead Assessor. May 2010 Meeting
The May 15, 2010 section meeting in Bradenton featured guest speaker Andrew L. Whitaker, co-owner and vice-president of The Great Burial Reef, Inc., the world's only provider of cremation urn burial-at-sea in living coral reefs.
Andrew spoke on What Ever Happened to Customer Service? He drew upon his own experiences as both a recipient and provider of quality in the service industry. His anecdotes were presented with humor and relevance to our own daily lives.
We had a fantastic turnout for this meeting, which made our day, and we extend our many thanks to Andrew and to all who attended the event for making the May meeting an enjoyable, enlightening and successful event!
APRIL 2010 MEETING
The April 14, 2010, section meeting in Bradenton featured guest speaker Kathleen
Iannacchino, MS, RN, a specialist in change management and improvement science
in complex, multiple healthcare settings.
Kathleen's presentation on Patients
Know Best: Improving Health Outcomes for Patients and Families by Involving
Patients and Families proved to be very timely as we explored the extensive transformation and improvement that was achieved when microsystem thinking and principles are applied in a hospital's NICU.
Our thanks to Kathleen and all who attended for making the April meeting an enlightening and successful event.
MARCH 2010 MEETING
The March
2010 section meeting in Bradenton featured guest speaker Bettie Reuter, a
Career Coach from Lee Hecht Harrison.
Her presentation, complimented by active participation of all in attendance, led us through the journey Harley took to internalize all aspects of total quality management while significantly enhancing key performance indicators.
Thanks to Elna and all who attended this meeting for making it such a success.
